The purpose of this page is to provide a transparent, chronological public record of requests, responses, and investigations.

Summary of Activity

  • Multiple Access to Information requests were submitted in 2025 to federal institutions, including Transport Canada and Health Canada.
  • Two Transport Canada requests have now resulted in final reports and formal orders from the Information Commissioner: 5825-03707 for request A-2025-00178 and 5825-03708 for request A-2025-00179.

Institution: Health Canada

Issue: Whether Health Canada’s 90-day extension under subsection 9(1)(a) was reasonable.

Finding: Complaint not well founded.

Key determination: Health Canada demonstrated that approximately 11,000 pages were responsive and that the extension was justified.
